These are reclaimed from freshly emptied whisky barrels. Some have distillery logo's, some are painted and some are plain.
Our lids are untouched and remain in their reclaimed condition.
The lids are of tongue and groove or dowel rod design and so will need to be strengthened with glue before use. It is possible that your lid could come apart during shipping. This is normal due to the way they have been made.
Due to their previous use, lids are not always completely flat, due to the liquid that they have absorbed. They can be re-flattened. There are videos on YouTube on both the re-flattening and gluing/strengthening process.
These lids are used items. Please expect signs of use and wear. Many have paint on 1 side with the other side charred for its original purpose, of aging Whisky.
We have not made any attempt to refurbish or clean these heads/lids.
As stated above, they come in their original, untouched, previously used condition.
Lids are chosen at random, straight from the stack.
